How to calculate the modular Kitchen cost?

We use to get different working area numbers(particularly sqft) in our quotations which received for same dimension from different contractor or interior designer or carpenter. how to find which quotations are having correct numbers and who is trying to cheat you?. let see,
Normally, calculating wardrobe sqft area is straight forward; its just multiply height(ft) with width(ft). even modular kitchen also, same thing with minor difference.
As per industry standard modular kitchen have,
Base cabinet Height should be 2.5 ft.
Base cabinet Depth should be 2 ft.
Wall cabinet Height will vary from 2 ft to 3 ft.
Wall cabinet Depth should be 1 ft.

For example,
Straight Kitchen 10 ft
Base cabinet= 10 ft X 2.5 ft = 25 sqft.
Wall cabinet= 5 ft X 2 ft= 10 sqft.
Total working area= 35 sqft.
L shaped kitchen 10 ft X 7 ft
Base cabinet= (10+7) ft X 2.5 ft= 42.5 sqft.
Wall cabinet= (7+4) ft X 2 ft= 22 sqft
Total working area= 64.5 sqft
Likewise, you can calculate for parallel, G shaped, Island kitchen etc..
Important Points to remember:
1. Some contractors increase the working area and reduce the sqft cost; so beware of those people who are posting advertisement with low cost per sqft. they will try to cheat by increasing the working area in their quotations

2. Some people include depth measurement in their calculations; for example. base cabinet sqft= (10 X 2.5 X 2)= 50 sqft. instead of actual 25 sqft, they will put 50 sqft. and reduce the sqft rate to steal the customers.

Note:
As per industry standard, there is no concept of sqft charge costing for modular kitchen or any other interior design products. Costing is purely depends on your budget, material selection and workmanship. For example, in the market raw plywood rates are vary from ₹ 45 to ₹ 300 and lots of laminate brands, PU paints and whether its handmade or machine finish; so there are many products and rates are involved in it. so fixed cost is not possible. because of customers impatience; marketers are having fixed sqft charge and putting cheap materials.
